If you need to cancel or reschedule you can do so through our online booking service up to 24 hours before your appointment, or call us on 01786 396098. Please make sure to read our cancelation policy below before making your appointment.

If you need to cancel or reschedule you must give us 24 hours notice. Failure to do so will result in a fee calculated at 50% of your service booked. If for any reason you don’t turn up to your appointment and don’t contact us, you will incur a fee of the full amount of the service booked. Please be aware when booking that you are agreeing to our terms and that all fees are payable on your next visit to the shop.

I started my career in hair at the age of 17, where I trained at Charlie Taylor’s and went on to work with numerous award winning hairdressers. As one of five chosen for the Schwarzkopf Young Artistic Team in 2013 and also the Schwarzkopf Leap team in 2015, I have showcased my talents at exclusive hair shows and photo shoots, bringing my clients the most up to date trends at the highest standards.
During all my years doing hair, I’ve always had a passion for barbering. I’ve been on multiple courses to sharpen my skills and make sure that my barbering is second to none. It was always my dream to open my own shop, I wanted to create a hub for people to come to from all walks of life, where they can feel relaxed and enjoy the experience of having their hair done. You see for me, it’s not just about a great haircut, it’s about the whole experience.
Fun fact : When I’m not cutting hair my hobbies include going to the gym, snowboarding and mountain biking.
I'm Arran - Senior Barber here at Brown Bear Barbershop and Salon.
I started my career at the age of 18, where I trained as a hairdresser at Charles Alexander's in Saltcoats. Whilst working as a hairdresser I always enjoyed cutting shorter hair, so I decided to make the switch over to barbering.
In order to make the move into barbering, I went through rigorous training at Brown Bear's to improve my skills and knowledge, as part of their junior barber programme.
After working in the shop for 2 years, building my clientele and putting a lot of hard work into perfecting my craft, I was promoted to Senior Barber.
I look forward to continuing to develop my skills and seeing where my barbering journey takes me!
Fun Fact : When I'm not cutting hair I enjoy photography and playing guitar.
