Blog #4 - What’s been happening at Brown Bears

We haven’t done one of these for a while, but there’s been loads happening recently and we wanted to update you all.

We’ve got a new booking system called Slick and our online booking system has never been easier! We’re loving the new booking system and all of its features. All appointments made on our previous booking system have been transferred over so don’t worry. Make sure to pop your appointments in your diary and you’ll also receive your txt reminder 48 hours before. Head over to our team page if you’d like to use the new booking system and check out our team.

Speaking of our team, we’ve got a couple of new team members to introduce. We’ve got three trainees, Billy, Riki and Jack. Billy has now finished all of his assesements and has started with us this week full time! Jack will be starting two days a week from the 22nd of April and Riki will start later this year in July. Gregor and Arran are always booked up so adding these new team members will give us much more availability for appointments and we’re really excited to expand the team!

Because the team has expanded and we needed more space we’ve done a refit on the shop as well. Head over to our socials to see the before and after video we posted.

We’ve got lots planned this year, something we’re really looking forward to is our fundraiser in April. Our client and sponsored athlete Kieran is heading to the euros in Italy later this year to represent his country playing powerchair football. As it’s a relatively new sport Kieran has to do a lot of fundraising himself and we wanted to help. We’ve opened our diary online for a half day Sunday the 20th of April and all the money we make that day will be donated to Kieran’s go fund me page. If you’d like to donate or support him, we have a poster in the shop with a QR code to his go fund me, or you can book in online for our fundraiser on the 20th.

Last but not least we’re going to barber connect in Birmingham in May! We attended last year and had a great time. It’s a weekend packed full of everything barbering and our favourite event of the year! Keep your eyes peeled on our socials for more updates.
